Life is too short to live it alone, and I believe it’s a journey you can’t make alone. Ours is a social species, and it’s partly why our brains are programmed to positively view things that foster life and negatively view things that threaten it.
I’m not going to go on some shallow sentiment of “life being a journey” and whatnot. That tale has already been told, and everyone agrees. I mean, what else are you going to call it? A mystery? An experience? Words like that are even more ambiguous.
Instead, I want to offer a standpoint on what makes that journey all the more worthwhile, and why going through this trek with supportive people you can trust is the only way to succeed.
I’m blessed to have such a supportive and loving family through all the ups and downs life has brought me. If there’s one piece of advice I could share with everyone, it would be to not go at life alone. This goes for my parents, as well as the love of my life and my family. They make life twice as enjoyable.
As I like to say: Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer, and keep your family closest.
